How can i know if scouting is right for me?

Pack 2255 hold various recruiting events where you can meet other scouts and families and learn about the program. The Annual Bonfire is a great place to start, but if can’t make it and you’d like to sit in at a Den meeting or other Pack event. please reach out and we can make it happen.

Do I have to be from Centerport or Greenlawn to join the pack?

Short answer is no. Most of the families come from the surrounding Huntington area and that is where most meetings and events take place. Living nearby is a benefit, but scouts are free to join any pack accepting new members that is the right fit for them.

What age groups can join Cub Scouts?

Cub Scouts starts at Kindergarten with the Lions program and runs through 5th Grade with the Arrow of Light before moving on to a Scout Troop. New Cub Scouts can start at any level.

Are girls allowed in Cub Scouts?

Cub scouts and scouting as a whole encourages both girls and boys to join the program.

What are the Cub Scout values?
